Shirley Ann Coudneys' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Coudneys, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who left us peacefully at the age of 89 on November 4th, 2024, surrounded by family and love. Born on June 13th, 1935 in Greensboro North Carolina, she grew up with a fierce spirit, unwavering kindness, deep devotion to her loved ones, and a strong relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Shirley was a hard working business woman owning her own bed and breakfast and lodge in Lewiston, MI.
She dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She was a guiding light and an anchor, the person her children and grandchildren could turn to for wisdom, comfort, and encouragement. Her strength was only matched by her tenderness, and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is preceded in death by her son, Gary Reynolds, brothers Milton and Tommy Kellam, and sister Letha. She is survived by her husband, Jim Coudneys; her sisters, Donna Harris and Linda; her children, Kenny (Andrea)Reynolds, Teresa Reynolds and(Kim), Mark (Carrie)Chapoton her grandchildren, Matthew (Christie)Reynolds, Stephanie (Elias) Kostakis, Chrissy (Randy) Clore, Nichole Chapoton, and Natalie (Joshua) Hart-Walton; her great grandchildren, Thomas and Emmett Reynolds, Elias Kostakis, and many dear friends. Her family and friends will miss her deeply but will hold onto the countless memories she created with them.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 10th, 2024 at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M. with a funeral service following from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M.
Her love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
