Sharon Volf's Obituary
The Lord called Sharon Volf, 81, home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, after a brief illness. Sharon was born in Galveston, TX in 1943, but soon returned to her home in Destin, FL, where she lived for over 30 years before moving to Tampa in 1983.
On November 17, 1973, Sharon married the love of her life Christian “Chris” Volf. The two shared over 51 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and respect. Sharon's life was built on the foundation of her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated Presbyterian for over 75 years. Cornerstone Presbyterian Church was her church home in Tampa for the last 41 years. She thirsted to learn about Christ's plan, strived to walk His path and thrived in sharing her beliefs with everyone she encountered. As Chris will attest, she was undeniably a Proverbs 31 wife.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Capt. Roscoe & Kathleen Mikel, and her brother Tommy Mikel. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris, her nephew, Jason Mikel, his wife Shanah, and their daughter Haley. She is also survived by her niece, Aimee Mikel.
Sharon's love and light will be deeply missed; however, we find comfort knowing we will see her again!
