Sharon Boyer's Obituary
Sharon Heil Boyer, born on November 13, 1944, in Geneva, Ohio, to Ken and Wilma Heil, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024. Sharon lived a positive and blessed life, filled with love and kindness, leaving a legacy of warmth and joy. She opened her arms and heart to everyone she met.
In 1967, Sharon married Bruce Boyer, and together they raised three sons: Brian, Chad, and Shawn (Skeeter). As a devoted mother, she always put her family first, sacrificing her time and energy, and even the last serving at dinner for her husband and sons. Known for her unwavering support, she was truly the best wife and mom, with a deep love for her family evident in everything she did.
Sharon was also the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 17. Her positive outlook on life inspired everyone she met, making friends wherever she went. She cherished her friendship with Katie, who taught school alongside her. Together with their husbands, they traveled the world, creating unforgettable memories.
In addition to her travels, Sharon was an active member of the Roamin' Rigs RV group, where she and Bruce spent countless weekends sharing meals and fostering friendships with fellow members. She was Queen Mom of the local Red Hat Society for many years, where she met numerous friends and enjoyed sharing fun and laughter together.
A graduate of Defiance College in 1966, Sharon dedicated 25 years to teaching elementary school mostly kindergarten, where her patience and passion for nurturing young minds made her a beloved figure in the classroom. Outside of work, her love for crafting shone through in the thoughtful, handmade gifts she created for friends and family, each one a reflection of her caring heart.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Bruce; her sons, Brian (Bridget), Chad (his partner Susan), and Shawn (Leslie); her sister-in-law Marilyn Dierdorff, her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; countless nieces and nephews; and her siblings, Carol (Will) and Larry (Theresa). She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Pamela Boyer, and her parents Ken and Wilma Heil.
