Scott Short's Obituary
Scott Jason Short, 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2nd,2024 with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Scott was born in Texarkana, Texas, on February 26th, 1970 to Charles and Margina Short. He graduated Countryside High School in 1989 then left to serve in our Army until 1996.
He worked in the IT department first for Nestle Waters, then Blue Triton Brands. Scott was more than just a coworker, he became a friend.
Scott enjoyed many hobbies. He loved being outside and enjoying nature's scenery from the driver's side of his yellow Jeep. He loved kayaking, jeeping, watching his girls grow up, relaxing on a boat, and helping his family and friends. He took on so many roles, husband, father, and friend just to name a few.
Scott was known for his vibrant personality, kindness, helpfulness, humor, laughter, and his ability to talk to anyone and make them feel like he's known you for years. He brightened everyone's life in some way. He lived his life to the fullest, making himself available to everyone, and making everyone so happy in his presence. He has touched so many lives and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
Scott is predeceased by his father Charles Short, and his mother Margina Short. Scott is survived by his wife of 27 years, Antje Short, his two loving daughters Annika Short, Nora Short, and his brother Troy Christopher Short.
A celebration of life in memory of Scott will be held on May 23rd, 2024 starting at 2pm, reception to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
