Sarabjeet Anderson's Obituary
Sarabjeet Anderson, affectionately known as Rishi, was born on March 7, 1965, in 46th Village, Guyana, to proud parents Balram Anderson and Doris Anderson. He passed away on April 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience.
Rishi was a man of many roles and even more stories. To some, he was a devoted son, a loving husband to his wife Asho (also known as Marie), a proud father, a caring uncle, a dependable brother, and a joyful grandfather. To others, he was simply Gramps—the wise, warm-hearted soul who brought light and laughter into every room he entered.
He spent over 11 years working at Panda Express, where he became a beloved figure. Known as the “old timer,” he made a difference in the lives of his coworkers and customers alike. His humor, kindness, and protective nature made everyone feel safe and seen. He loved to joke around and had a way of making even the busiest days feel lighter.
Though he wasn’t fond of reading himself, Rishi always encouraged the younger generation to study hard and aim high. He believed in the power of education and wanted the best for his children and grandchildren.
Music was one of his greatest joys—especially old-time Bollywood songs. If you ever saw him dancing with Uncle Rick, you’d know how much he loved to celebrate life, even in the smallest moments. He was outgoing, observant, and deeply present. He had a beautiful habit of pausing to soak in the world around him—just standing still, taking in the moment, and creating a memory.
Rishi leaves behind his wife Asho (Marie), his children—Hema (adopted daughter), Ashley (first born), and Jarrod (second born)—and his cherished grandson, Kevin. He was a brave, hardworking man who touched many lives. His memory will live on in the laughter he sparked, the wisdom he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
