We celebrate the life of Rosanne “Bobbie” King, age 73, of Margate, FL, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on September 26, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bobbie was born on June 7, 1951, in the Bronx, New York City, to Madeline Skiba and Daniel Magner Sr.
Bobbie will always be remembered for her remarkable strength, her generosity of spirit, and her quick wit. Despite her health challenges, she lived life with determination and resilience, triumphing over obstacles until her passing.
Bobbie was a passionate artist. Whether through painting, crafts, or teaching art classes both in person and online, her creativity knew no bounds. Her artistic vision helped others see the world with more color and beauty, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her talent and unique outlook on life will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
In addition to being a talented artist, Bobbie worked in a variety of fields throughout her life. She began her career as a hairstylist and later worked in accounting and bookkeeping. She also dedicated time to caring for individuals with challenges, always offering compassion and excellent service. Bobbie was proud of the numerous awards she received for her dedication and outstanding customer service. She also cherished her time volunteering with the Boy Scouts when her son, Travis, was young.
As we remember Bobbie, we honor the beauty she brought into the world, not only through her art but also through her kindness, strength, and love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
Bobbie was predeceased by her parents, Madeline Skiba and Daniel Magner Sr.; her brothers William (Ritchie) Skiba and Frank Magner; her first husband, Dale Jones; and her second husband, her high school sweetheart, Pat King.
She is survived by her son, Travis Jones; her grandchildren, Corbin Jones, Sailey Jones, Phoebe Jones, and Phoenix Jones. She also leaves behind a large and loving family, including her siblings, Lorrie Evans, Albert Skiba, Donna Munoz, Cindy Ayers, Diane Brewer, Debbie Hampton, Susan Magner, Daniel Magner Jr., Laura Stockman, Nancy Magner, Michael Magner, and Leslie Magner Cosgrove, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A private memorial service will be held by the family to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Bobbie’s memory.
