Rosalinda Quinawayan Young devoted follower of Jesus, Loving Wife, Mom and Lola
Rosalinda Q. Young, 68, surrounded by her family peacefully moved from this life into Heaven for eternity on December 1, 2018.
Rose was born on August 20, 1950 in the town of San Roque, Samar Philippines to Antonio and Julia Bardaje.
In 1971, she met and fell in love with her husband Timothy Young at Clark AFB. Shortly after having their son Michael they moved to the United States and had their next son Bobby.
In 1978 she became a born-again Christian when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. As a Christian her life was never the same. She dedicated her love and talent for singing to God and joined the choir. She was known by her friends and family to delight in the presence of the Lord and would at times spend hours a day reading her Bible, unbeknownst to even her closest family. She would boldly proclaim the Good News of the Bible to anyone she encountered and demonstrated the love of God to everyone she knew.
Rose was also well known for her culinary skills, which were both passed down from family and self taught. Philippine cuisine was her specialty and she was sought after as a caterer, specifically for her Puto (Filipino dessert) and Lumpia (Filipino egg-rolls). She was an active member of her beloved Idlewild Baptist Church Choir and as a founding member of the International Filipino Baptist Church plant in Temple Terrace where she served together with her family as the hospitality and fellowship lead.
Rose is survived by her loving husband Tim, her children; Mike, Bobby, and daughter-in-law Courteney; her apo (grandson) Billy; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many, many friends.
