Robin VanLandingham's Obituary
Robin VanLandingham, 61, of Odessa, passed away on December 28, 2023. Robin was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 10, 1962. She met Earl “Ed” VanLandingham while the two were in high school. Despite being told by both of their families that their marriage could never work, the high school sweethearts were married on April 16, 1981, and remained devoted to each other until her passing. The couple delivered their first child in 1982 and two more followed over the coming years. The family relocated to Florida in 1988, where Robin took advantage of her proximity to the beach by spending many hours there with her children. She found great enjoyment in traveling, especially to the Blue Ridge mountains in Georgia where the family has a cabin. Staying true to her Baltimore roots, she maintained a lifelong love for blue crabs. Although her life was filled with many interests, from creative arts to her Jeep to her beloved dog Sophie, Robin’s greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her husband and children and absolutely loved being a Nana to her three grandchildren. Robin is survived by her stepmother Connie Robison, husband Ed VanLandingham, daughter Heather VanLandingham (Chris Jaenichen), son Blair VanLandingham (Alicia James), and her grandchildren, Serenity Jaenichen, Analise Jaenichen, and Cain VanLandingham. She was predeceased by her daughter, Crystal VanLandingham.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Robin's memory to the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/donate.html.
