Robert Lee Reavis Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Lee Reavis, Jr. 61, of Land O’Lakes, FL passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, surrounded by his family and his beloved Siberian Husky Aysia, under the compassionate care of Gulfside Hospice. He was born in Florida to Robert and Sandra Reavis. He spent much of his young life in North Carolina where he met his wife, Kristy Carson. The couple married on June 27, 1987, and made their home in Statesville. They joyfully welcomed their son Carson into their lives as young adults.
Robert attended Rowan Technical College and enjoyed a lifelong career in the Fire and Security Industry. He began his career with Lake Norman Security. He later relocated his family to the Tampa Bay area and served as Vice President of A Total Solution in Tarpon Springs until his passing.
Robert was known as a man who never met a stranger, and he made friends wherever he went. He was hardworking and a kind-hearted man, who loved an honest challenge and never gave up on anything. He was Baptist by faith and loved serving his clients throughout his career. Over the years, he could be found enjoying some of his favorite past times of snow skiing, riding his Harley along the Blue Ridge Parkway and boating in neighboring lakes or in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a Harley Davidson Enthusiast, and he was quite the collector. He had a passion for building and fixing things and held a great appreciation for history and antiques.
There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with family and telling stories. He worked hard to provide for his family. He looked forward to family gatherings and appreciated vacations in the mountains and beaches as well as many summers spent at High Rock Lake.
Robert, affectionately known as “Bobby” by his family, also known as “Mr. Bobby” by many, is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kristy and his dear son Carson; mother Sandra Capps; brothers Richard Reavis (John) and Patrick (Crystal) Reavis; sister Lisa (Albert) Canamero; sister-in-law Wendy (Bill) Fox; brother-in-law Bill (Joni) Carson; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased in death by his father Robert Lee Reavis, Sr., grandparents Duard and Dessie Reavis, grandmother Dorothy Connelly, parents-in-law William and Virginia (Davis) Carson, and brother-in-law Bob Dawson.
