Robert was a devoted family man, a friend to all he met. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and was stationed at several locations in the US, Europe, and Africa as a radar mechanic and training as an electrician. Following his discharge, Robert began a lifelong career as a Master Electrician. He expanded his knowledge in the construction trades to include carpentry, plumbing, and painting. He started and successfully ran several companies in the construction industry. He spent several years teaching college level courses to students aspiring to become Master Electricians. He served as a mentor to many young men, who became successful businessmen, benefitting from his knowledge and wisdom. Most of all, he used these qualities to raise his family with a caring and compassionate hand. He always had a kind word and a firm handshake. Robert never missed a chance to polka dance or pull a practical joke on the unsuspecting friend or loved one. He loved golf, tinkering with his Mustang, and watching westerns on TV. His smile was genuine and infectious. He epitomized the meaning of a good man and will be truly missed by all.
