A self-made man with only a country school education, Capt. Bob enlisted in the Army-Air Corps during WWII where he learned the trade of aircraft mechanics. He reached the height of his career as an airline pilot for 36 years with Eastern Airlines. He obtained the rank of Captain and flew the Boeing 727 whisper jet. When asked who his copilot was, he always responded with “Jesus Christ!”. Upon retirement from Eastern at the age of 60, Capt. Bob purchased an orange grove and successfully raised Naval and Valencia oranges. Fascinated with real-estate, he earned his real-estate brokers license, and at the age of 69 he started “Capt. He has selflessly donated his time and resources helping thousands of addicts through his testimony and many speaking engagements, find their way to sobriety. He put into practice the “Love” for others as he knew it from his Higher Power. Through his positive attitude, testimony and mentoring, he provided encouragement to all who knew him.
