Rita M. Pantano's Obituary
Rita Pizzoferrato Pantano was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She resided in Connecticut for the bulk of her life, but spent a number of years living in Florida as well. Rita passed away peacefully on September 2, 2022. Rita is survived by her husband John Pantano, her children Roselee Yap and her spouse, Craig Yap, Diane Pantano and Paul Pantano, her grandchildren Angel Pantano and Emily Yap, her sisters and their spouses Rose-Anna and Richard Calano, Sandra and Jonathan Anderson, her brother and his spouse Emidio and Cynthia Pizzoferrato, her sister-in-law Erminia Pantano, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Emidio Pizzoferrato, her mother, Lina Liberatore, her brother-in-law, Paolo Pantano, and many aunts and uncles.
Rita was born in Pratola, Italy on October10, 1947. After graduating from Bulkeley High School located in Hartford, CT, in1966, she worked for the Travelers Insurance Company as a private secretary. Rita's exceptional organizational skills, people skills, attention to office details and an excellent typist (she typed at a rate of 125 words per minute with 100% accuracy.) She also worked in retail for many years after raising her three children.
On April 12, 1969, Rita married the LOVE of her life, John Pantano They recently celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary in April, 2022. John always reminded Rita that SHE stole his HEART away and never gave it back to HIM reminding her that he would remain MADLY in LOVE with her for all ETERNITY. RITA WILL BE FOREVER MISSED BY HER ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:45 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Trinity Memorial Gardens located at 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655. Immediate family members and invited guests will ONLY attend the CELEBRATION of RITA"S LIFE. In LIEU of flowers and donations, if so desired, a tribute gift on Rita's behalf can be offered to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, Fl. 33760-9962, would be much APPRECIATED by the PANTANO FAMILY.
