Richard Wirth's Obituary
Richard Herbert Wirth, of Lutz, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, in Temple Terrace, Florida, at the age of 89.
Born on April 16, 1935, in Dansville, New York, Richard led a life marked by dedication and hard work. He was a former minor league baseball player and later served as a U.S. Postal Carrier, roles that reflected his commitment to both his passions and his community. Richard was also a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served his country with honor. In his later years, he operated a plant nursery in Florida, showcasing his love for nature and the outdoors.
Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Wirth, the mother of his children, who passed away in 2019, and by his beloved second wife of many years, Juanita Wirth, who passed in 2018. Richard is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Sandra Van Bortel (Gary) and Catherine Fedor (John), and his grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Jared, and Kayla.
A Funeral Mass will be held on January 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lutz, Florida.
