Richard Mark Dankworth's Obituary
Richard (Rick) Mark Dankworth, born October 6, 1949 in Norfolk, VA passed away on June 27, 2018 due to complications from pneumonia. Richard was the beloved son of Theodore and June Dankworth, brother of Timothy Dankworth and Piper Dankworth Sutton, and loving father of Devon Dankworth. He is survived by his daughter Devon and sister Piper. Richard lived in Trinity, Florida with his wife Patrician (Patty) Callen Dankworth until her passing in January of 2018.
Rick earned a BA with distinction in English Literature from the University of Virginia and his love of and loyalty to “the university” was ever present. Rick had over 37 years of management experience in the healthcare industry. He was an accomplished musician, who loved to sing and play the guitar. Rick was a die hard Orioles fan, a Redskins fan who converted to the Dallas Cowboys when he lived in Texas and he became a Buccaneers fan when he settled in Florida.
Florida was always where he wanted to make his home and after living in St. Pete’s and Madeira Beach, FL he and Patty built their dream home in Trinity, FL in 2014.There will be a celebration of Rick ‘s life Saturday July 7, 2018 with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM and program at 3:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity FL 34655. A reception will follow at Carrabba’s Italian Grill 16525 Point Village Drive, Lutz, FL 33558.
