Reva Hicks' Obituary
Reva Hicks, 86, of Lutz, Florida, passed away on July 16, 2024. She was born on December 7, 1937, in Tampa, Florida, to Ralph and Leona Fulford, one of seven siblings. After graduating from high school, she began her career of 29 years as a bus driver for the Hillsborough County School System. She lived in Hillsborough County for the majority of her life, before moving to Pasco County in 2006, where she spent her remaining years. She met and married Raymond Hicks, and the couple started a family together, with their two daughters Dorothy and Donna, followed by their two sons Raymond and Ralph. Their family grew over the years, with the addition of five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo and making wonderful memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Reva was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She had a very kind heart and would do anything for her family. She has passed down so many great family traditions that we will continue to pass down to our future generations. My brother (Steven) and I (Stephanie) couldn’t have asked for a better grandmother. Her legacy lives on in the memories and hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always there for them to talk to, cry with, provide advice, or to just lend a listening ear. She was always supportive and never judgmental, always loving and accepting them with all her heart for who they truly were. She will always be loved, missed, and remembered.
Reva is survived by her grandchildren Stephanie, Steven, Jesse, and Katelyn; her great-grandchildren Cyrus, Jacob, Cooper, Jaden, Cristian, Genieve, Nora, and Milo; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hicks; her children Dorothy, Donna, Raymond, and Ralph; her parents Ralph and Leona Fulford; her siblings Ralph, Esther, John, Mary, Ruth, and Donald; and her granddaughter Krystal.
