Ray D Clark's Obituary
Ray D. Clark, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on September 5, 2022. He was born on December 6, 1931 in Alliance, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Jane, and their 3 children; Debra McElroy of Tampa, FL, Douglas Clark of Sarasota, FL and Paul Clark of Hartford, CT. He has four grandsons and three great grandchildren. His education was received at La Salle University, Hillyer College and the University of Hartford in Business Management. He began a banking career in South Dakota at First National Bank. He continued his career in Alliance, Nebraska at Guardian State Bank and then in CT at the East Hartford Federal Credit Union. During his last 16 working years, before early retirement at age 57, he was Senior Vice President and Manager of the Connecticut office of Combustion Federal Credit Union in Windsor. One of his hobbies was training and riding western horses. Ray enlisted in the U.S. Army Security Agency in 1953, during the Korean War, and served in Technical Communication at Fort Riley, Kansas, Fort Devens, Massauchusetts, Camp Gordon, Georgia, Tokyo, Japan and the Phillipine Islands at Clark Air Force Base near Manila. He was assigned to Headquarters Company - Army Security Agency, 8621st Army Administrative Area Unit, in the Pacific Theatre. A private interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Trinity, FL.
