Ramesh Malhotra's Obituary
Ramesh (Anna,Anu) Malhotra, age 81 of Trinity, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7th after a brief illness surrounded by her immediate family. She was the rock of the family and will be missed by her living relatives and friends, including her husband Jag, daughters Archana and Donna, grandchildren Divya and Devan, son in laws Ajay and Jesse, as well as one older sister Sarita.
Ramesh was born in Amritsar, India in 1941 and married the love of her life Jag in 1967. They moved to Chicago with their first-born daughter Archana in 1970. Their second daughter Donna was later born in 1975. They decided to embark on a new journey in sunny California in 1980 and joined a community of friends and family in the Bay Area. They lived there until October 2020, when they took a new adventure and moved to Trinity, Florida.
She was loved by everyone who knew her, whether they only met her once or had known her for 60 years. She always enjoyed a good joke or told a funny story and knew not to take herself too seriously. She loved to chit chat with friends over a good meal. She was passionate about “her” 49ers and the Steph Curry Golden State Warriors. She was famous for her annual Super Bowl parties that were filled with lots of food, joy, laughter and competitive bantering and maybe … just a little gambling on the side playing some Super Bowl Squares. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards with friends, gardening and watching Indian dramas.
She had a spirit and a fight within her that was shining even in her final days. We take comfort knowing that she was greeted by her best friends and family in heaven and is now having chai (tea), biscuits and sharing gup-shup (Gossiping).
She will be forever missed.
