We had seen uncle several times over the past years but the best memory was his visit with Sunitha to our home in Tennessee. Sunitha is my ( Kusuma) mother’s cousin and my favorite aunt.
We enjoyed our Smoky mountains trip and Dollywood.
This trip brought us closer and we learnt a lot about our uncle.
He was great doctor, a vedic scholar, renaissance man and very honest.
He was lot like my (Kusuma) father, quiet and thoughtful. He could read and explain our old Vedas from India in Sanskrit.
He loved traveling, reading, walking and you could tell he loved life.
He had a strong appreciation on culture and we really respected this about him.
We will miss you uncle Ramakrishna 🙏
Thanks,
Kusuma and Som Holla
He is very fond of me. He loves me always. Whenever he comes to native, we used to go to yakshagana together. I remember him always. May his soul rest in peace.
The contact with Ramakrishnanna is since 1980. I used to call him once a while when I was in Bombay. And his response was very good. It his soul is rest in peace.
I fondly remember Uncle’s visits to our little home in Bombay when enroute to native. He and my Dad were very fond of each other and the mutual respect stemmed from an understanding of each other’s simplicity, dedication to family and hard work. Despite being amongst the first doctors in the family, he had no airs and thus became a symbol of what our parents teach us...remain humble despite all your achievements...
