Pura Rodriguez's Obituary
Pura Rodriguez, 92, of Tampa, FL, passed away on April 2, 2024. Pura was born to Jose and Leocadia Roman on November 24, 1931, in Camuy, Puerto Rico, one of 17 children. She married the love of her life, Juan Rodriguez, on July 2, 1955. The couple had their first child, their daughter Jeanette, in 1959, followed by their son John in 1963. Pura spent the majority of her life in Puerto Rico and New York City until she and Juan relocated to Florida in 2016.
True to her given name “Prudencia,” Pura embraced life with a thoughtful and balanced approach. She was a wonderful woman who found joy in cooking and ensuring that everyone around her was well-fed and cared for. Her legacy of warmth, kindness, and delicious meals & will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Pura is survived by her husband Juan, her children Jeanette and John, daughter-in-law Delma, her grandchildren Christopher, Ashley, Chelsealyn, Matthew, and Sarina, and her seven great-grandchildren. Jayda Krystine, Jaeliana Rose, Skyler Emmanuel, Scarlett Monroe, Jayani Michelle, Amarely Pura, & Grace Peach.
