Phillip Joseph Garcia's Obituary
Our precious Phillip Joseph Garcia passed away peacefully on January 8th. He was born in Sherman, Texas to Jesus and Dorothy Garcia. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in business. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother James Ronald Garcia.
From his early days with Pepsi to running the Senior PGA tournament, Blue Angels Classic Pensacola and the Boeing San Destin, his dedication to community involvement was far reaching. His graciousness, hospitality and genuine personality touched so many people’s lives over the years. His years at Laser Spine Institute were some of his most treasured times. Truly helping patients, co-workers and friends absolutely was Phil’s calling. A gentleman’s gentleman, his smile, wit and his presence completely lit up a room. People who knew him loved him. He has left a void in our lives, but we take comfort in knowing he is with our Lord and watching down on us.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth, son Greg Garcia, daughter Dawn Garcia McCarthy(Len), son Daniel Jacobi(Tory) and daughter Sarah Hale (Chase). Also sister Suzan Garcia Wells(Joel) brother J Garcia(Sue), and brother Jody Garcia(Elizabeth) grandchildren Emma, Jackson, Carter, Camden and Lily.
Phil was an avid golfer, so there will be a Celebration of his wonderful life at Avila Golf and Country Club Friday April 5th from 4-6, Tampa Florida. Please dress casually and help us raise a toast, share memories of the man that was dearly loved.
