Petra had a beautiful soul and a kind heart. She radiated selflessness and was the most giving person. Her hugs were gentle, smiles warm, voice sweet and her spirit graceful. Petra will always be remembered for her commitment to God and devotion to prayer. She loved all 80’s-90’s music(especially Michael Jackson), dancing, watching various kinds of movies and shows, especially those on the lifetime channel. She loved shopping, decorating her home in anything themed with African/jungle animals, reading almost every book from her favorite author Danielle Steel and spending time with her family.
There’s nothing that will convey the tremendous loss and grief Petra’s family has felt since she passed away on March 26th, 2023. Petra loved fiercely and unconditionally. She loved her family more than life, but her love for her husband Troy, Daughter’s Cassie and Carena and Grandchildren Benjamin and Jade, well she loved them to her core. Petra gave so much, always putting others first. She was kind, considerate, and compassionate. Her Daughter’s Cassie and Carena lost a mother who protected them and gave them the best years of her life. To them, Petra was their very best friend and truest advocate. Her daughters will miss her giving spirit and unfailing kindness. But most of all they will miss their mother’s presence in every day that passes. Petra’s spirit lives on in her daughters from the life lessons she taught them and in the love she shared with them that will last a lifetime.
Petra had much pride in being an Oma to Benjamin and Jade and she was so excited to meet her granddaughter Jade, who was born 9 days after Petra passed away. Unfortunately she never got the chance to meet her granddaughter, but she did spend over 2 years helping raise her grandson Benjamin who she truly adored. Petra’s loving presence helped shape him into the wonderful little boy he is and he will miss his best friend and beautiful Oma more than anything.
A message from Petra’s Daughters Cassie and Carena:
