Peter William Yore's Obituary
Peter William Yore, 58, of Odessa Florida, was unexpectedly killed by a DUI driver on May 11, 2021. He was enjoying his evening tandem bike ride with his girlfriend on the Pinellas Trail in Tarpon Springs, as they did frequently.
He was born to parents Francis and Arlynne Yore, on April 24, 1963, in Geneva Illinois. Peter graduated from Leto High School and never had any further formal education; however, he had “A PhD in Life” as he knew so much about everything. He had infinite wisdom and was self-taught in almost every aspect of life including mechanics, real estate, law and legal practices, plumbing, solar panels, cars, electrical, farming, and more!
Peter leaves behind his two daughters, Victoria Yore (with partner Terrence) and Vanessa Yore (with partner Marcello). He is survived by his parents, Francis III and Arlynne Yore, brothers Francis Yore IV (Karen), Thomas Yore (Leslie), Michael Yore (Michelle), James Yore (Ann), and John, as well as sisters Margaret Thompson (Alex) and Jean Strohmeyer (Kyle). Peter also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, Francis V, Joshua, Christian (Samantha), Aaron, Tommy, Michael, Jake, Zak, Kathryne, Hannah, Grace and great nephews and nieces AJ, Trenton, Jackson, Makenzie, and Natalie.
Peter was an entrepreneur, having started and sold multiple businesses throughout his lifetime. Through his infinite wisdom, he knew something about everything! Some things he excelled at more than others. But everything he put his mind to he substantially exceeded all expectations! He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and his family, tandem bike riding, pickleball, boating, kayaking, gardening, playing cards, repairing things, reading, and keeping busy doing something. Peter was a simple man, who liked a life simple. As he became more accomplished in life, his behavior never changed. He was still Peter! A kind soul always willing to help.
The memorial services for Peter are as follows: Calling hours are at Trinity Memorial Gardens (12609 Memorial Dr. Trinity, FL 34655) on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Saint Timothy’s Catholic Church (17512 Lakeshore Rd, Lutz, FL 33558) at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Burial immediately following at Trinity Memorial Gardens, with light refreshments to follow.
PLEASE NOTE! We are asking everyone to wear their UGLIEST hiking boots [or tennis shoes] with their nicest outfit to the funeral! Our Dad did not care about looks and his “fancy” outfit was a pair of ugly hiking boots with slacks and a collared shirt. He wore this get-up everywhere, from court appearances, to church, to fancy occasions.
