Paul Everett Porter
October 2, 1936 – October 9, 2020
Paul Everett Porter, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday October 9, 2020. He was born in Huntington, W.V. to Thomas G. and Bertha L. (Napier) Porter. He was a graduate of East Huntington High School and Marshall University. He married W. Joyce “Judy” Williams on January 29, 1955 and was blessed with a loving marriage of 65 years.
Paul began a 36 year career with Sears Roebuck Co. in 1957. Under the mentorship of A. M. Prado, he achieved the position of store manager. After managing numerous stores in the southeast, he retired from the University Mall Sears store in 1994.
Paul and Judy spent over 25 years traveling to many places, but especially loved Captiva Island and Jackson Hole, WY. In addition, they enjoyed friends and family, fishing, Disney, and their love of God.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Hartsel and sister, Norma. Left to grieve are his son Mark A. (Connie Jo), his daughter, Paula J. Porter-Smith (Robbie), and grandchildren, Luke Porter (Christin), Lindsay Warren (Seth), and Tiffani Smith. Paul was blessed with four great grandchildren, Blakely, Remington, Cole and Boden and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service 1:30 pm – 2:15 pm
Graveside Committal 2:30 pm
The family will receive friends following the services at the home of Paul and Judy Porter.
In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to the American Heart Association.
