Paul S Dove Sr's Obituary
Paul S. Dove Sr., born on March 15, 1943, in Derwood, Maryland, passed away on April 5, 2024. He was the son of Emil Stephen Dove and Margie Wilson Hottinger. Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn, and his daughter, Tami Rodriguez.
He is survived by his siblings, E. Wilson Dove and wife Betty Jean, and Barbara Davis and husband Tommy. Paul leaves behind a legacy through his children: Harle L. Houldsworth and husband Randy, Paul S. Dove Jr. and wife Dana, and Ira L. Dove and wife Angela. His memory is cherished by his 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul dedicated his career to serving others, retiring as a fraud investigator from the federal government in 2003. Beyond his professional life, he found joy in playing guitar, traveling, cooking, and indulging in good food. A master storyteller, Paul captivated listeners with his tales.
His love for country music and southern gospel was evident, as was his fondness for watching westerns and listening to music on the RFD channel. Paul’s passion for life and his kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the melodies he cherished and the stories he shared.
Visitation to honor Paul S. Dove Sr. will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, April 10, from 6 to 8 PM. His funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 11, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, commencing at 12 PM. Following the service, burial arrangements and a reception will follow, allowing loved ones to gather in remembrance and celebration of Paul’s life.
