Patricia McCarty's Obituary
Patricia Jean McCarty, 90 of Trinity, Florida, passed away at home under the care of Hospice on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. She was born Patricia Jean Featheringill on January 22, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio. She was married for 70 years to James Lawrence McCarty. Jim was Pat’s high school sweetheart at Libbey High School in Toledo, Ohio, from which she graduated in 1952. She was a member of the Mayflower Society and The Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a recognized multimedia artist and was past President of the Ohio China Painters Association. She was also an avid bridge player, as well as a successful businesswoman and pet shop owner. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family and is survived by husband James Lawrence McCarty of Trinity, Florida. Patricia is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Gerald) McLaughlin of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Sandra (Phillip) Hollabaugh of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Also surviving are her son Dr. James (Debra) McCarty of Punta Gorda, Florida, grandchildren Amanda (Chad) Clark, Landon Coady, Karl (Ashley) Schwartz, Ashley Smith, Dr. Taylor (Dr. Stela) McCarty, and great grandchildren Aspen Clark, Noah McCarty and Sophia McCarty. She was preceded in death by her parents Alert Dwight Featheringill and Bessie M. (Elson) Featheringill and sister Majorie Waterfield. Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Trinity, Florida, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00pm. .
