Patricia Diaz's Obituary
Patricia Louise Allen Diaz of Odessa, FL, passed peacefully on April 6th, 2025. Pat was born August 6th, 1948, in Tampa, Florida, to Blanche and John Allen. She was preceded in death by her eternal love, Dennis Diaz, whom she met at The Pancake House where Dennis’ humor failed to impress. Eventually, through sheer determination, he won her over and they married on March 18th, 1972, and spent the next 52 years within arm's reach of each other. Pat is survived by their two children, Jonathan (Brandi) and Geoffrey. She also leaves behind three grandchildren Drew (Rachel), Olivia, and Jeremy, and one great-grandchild, Logan.
Pat and Dennis were inseparable, and you would never find one more than whispering distance from the other. They relished in each other’s company while they pursued their shared interests, from raising exotic animals, such as peacocks and tropical fish, to traveling to the Biloxi casinos with Dennis’ sister, Irene. While they didn’t win big at the casinos, they hit the jackpot in love. They were devoted parents whose first thoughts were always about their sons. They dedicated every square inch of their home to pictures of them and their families and their grandchildren’s art and accolades. However, nothing could surpass the love they had for one another. Their eyes lit up when the other entered the room and longed for each other when absent, even for a moment, and spent every moment thinking of the other. She was his heart, and he was hers.
Patricia will be intensely missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing to express sympathy consider making a memorial contribution to The American Cancer Society in her honor.
