Nelma Bee's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we are sharing the passing of a wonderful, loving, and caring woman, our Mother, Nelma "Pete, Gracie" Bee, who left us on July 18, 2025, after many weeks of declining health.
She was the heart of our family — a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose kindness extended to anyone lucky enough to cross her path. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel at home, whether you were family, a friend, or just someone who was fortunate enough to make her acquaintance.
She lived her life wholeheartedly, with a generous spirit and an unmatched sense of humor. She many times would sit and observe as others chatted and joked, never missing a thing and always ready with a ‘comeback’.
Mom was a woman who always remembered birthdays and was thoughtful and giving beyond compare. More than anything, she loved her family and was our biggest cheerleader. Her support, caring, and commitment to us never faltered.
She is survived by her daughter Sherry Benson, son-in-law, Alan Benson, grandson, A. Jay Benson, granddog, Buddy Benson, and cousins, Suzanne, Karen, and Wendy, all of whom are better people because they were loved by her.
In honor of Mom, we encourage you to tell someone you love them, show an act of kindness, or make someone smile. A celebration of her life will be held on August 27, 2025, starting at 1:00pm at Boza and Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Avenue in Tampa, Florida.
