Neal H. Merlan's Obituary
Neal Merlan was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and friend whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. Though our time with him feels far too short, the love he gave will last forever.
Neal is survived by his wife, Stephanie Merlan; his beloved children, Niella, Kaleb, Preston, and Anastasia; his loving parents, Kathy and Art; his brother, Curtis; and his sister-in-law, Sidney.
Neal loved being at home. He found joy in the simple things — reading, talking Marvel and DC, diving into conspiracy theories, and spending time with the people he loved most. He embraced fatherhood wholeheartedly, guiding his children with patience, humor, and heart. Whether serving as a camp leader, a bartender, or simply as a steady presence in the lives of those around him, Neal led with kindness and compassion.
His beautiful smile, nerdy charm, quick wit, and the countless conversations he sparked will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
A celebration of Neal’s life will be held on February 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida.
