Munyimba Lloyd Munyimba passed away at the age of 76 in Tampa Florida.
Munyimba is survived by his wife Patricia-Mutinta his 5 children Caroline-Lweendo (Tony), Precious (Richie), Shamu, Muchimba (Tim) and Maju (Gabriel). He was blessed with 9 Grandchildren Shimunza, Mutinta-violet, Obehi, Oseoje, Namukolo, Ehaesi, Mutinta-Bella, Komana and Michaela.
He is predeceased by his parents Rev. Wilmot James and Georgina Munyimba, Sister Beatrice and brother Baldwin. He leaves behind siblings Cecily, Barbara and Ruth.
Munyimba was born in Namwala, Zambia on February 28 1946. He spent the first decade of his life in Epworth Zimbabwe where his father studied theology. Munyimba attended St. Dominic's primary school and St. Marks college for secondary education in Mapanza. He pursued further education in United Kingdom, Germany and USA with his last graduation ceremony in 2012 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Munyimba dedicated 27 yrs of work life to Zambia Airways, where he managed a variety of departments.
On August 9, 1968 Munyimba married Patricia-Mutinta in Lusaka, Zambia.
Munyimba was an avid car lover and frequently attended motor rallies as well as annual car shows. He enjoyed taking long walks, often with his wife Mutinta, dancing, traveling the world, biking, reading, golfing, hunting and would frequently relax by viewing airplanes taking off and landing at airports.
Munyimba was well known for his cheerful nature, great sense of humor, neutralizing character, determination and classy sense of style. His eloquent speech, mastery of language and social skills were the reason he was often called upon to host and MC at several events.
Above all, Munyimba was a lover of God, whom he knew to be his Lord and personal saviour.
