Was thinking about you today.
I have met Dr.MOhan in jordan and am so impressed of losing someone gentel and smart like Mohan rest in peace my idol 🥀🥀
I only met Dr. Kutty one time. I was so happy to find such a great MD he was a wonderful, smart incredible man. He and his Daughter were a great team, welcoming, friendly. It was the best experience I have ever had at an MD's office. They were joyful, interesting and kind people. He radiated comfort and hope People like him make the world a better place, everything is truly less without this good. So very sad and sorry he is gone.
Mala, I am so sorry for the lost of Dad. I am very happy that I had a chance to work with both of you at PHC.
Mohan Kutty,
My memories about him.
I met Mohan in the year 1967 when we were doing PPC(PRE PROFFESSIONAL COURSE).I was not close to him.He belonged to the highly intelligent group from Love Dale who spoke Queens English where I was a Mandan(lovable idiot) Mallu who could hardly speak two sentences in English without grammar mistakes.
After the 3 months of ragging time when I used to go recreation club I used see him beating many big built Table Tennis players by his shrewd defensive game and then lightning fast attacks from near the table. It was more of a intelligent ploy than any any thing else and I too copied that in my badminton matches where I could beat many fancied guys in a similar way.Since that day I was a silent fan of him.
We became close once we started clinicals in Manipal. He was a silent but keen observant guy during case examinations and most of the time he was very accurate in diagnosis and he had proper reasons for his diagnostic arguments too.
The most amazing thing about him was his gambling instinct.I clearly remember the the bet he had with some guys saying India is going to beat West Indies in a fourth innings scoring more than 418 runs against the mighty Joel Garner Malcom Marshal Andy Robert's Colin croft etc.He won 2500 bucks a royal sum at that time and he took us for treat at valley view and for the first time I had Baked Alaska as desert the taste of which still lingers in my mouth after 49 years.
After that many times we had financed his card sessions and in return we had many more Baked Alaska sessions in Valley view.
I can never forget our Pathology examination. Our Good friend Kuruvilla George had by hearted text book of Muir from last page to first page in 6 months and here Our Mohankutty when he finds time in between his card and TT sessions marches to library pulls out last 5 years question papers and makes a question papers of his own and distributes us.All except KG concentrates on that.we got 5 out of 8 questions from his selection All of us passed but Mohan got 2 marks more than KG and I vividly remember KG shaking his head and Kutty smiling away with his twinkling eyes and occasionally biting his nails.
There was always a running feud between Massani and Mohan Kutty. For any prank committed by any body in our gang first to be questioned by Massani will be Mohan kutty come here. For KG Dropping his Piano Accordion to Ironing Masanis Fish in stead his shirt breaking the fish tank Kutty will be called up.Those were the unforgettable days.
Kutty was full of life and laughter
After internship I lost contact with him.As per Bob Clausen,Kutty the only Naxalite among us went to Capitalist USA to teach them how to make money
Many years later we met him for Dutts Sons wedding in Poona and again in2014 in Ahmedabad and in 2 other occasions in our getogether the last one in 2020 Jan.
Dear friend many people criss crossed my life in Manipal. You are one among the few whom I will not be able to forget in life.May you rest in peace.May God give mental and physical strength to Mala,Maya and Sheila to tide over this difficult time

Hi, Maya and Mala,
You girls are very brave. Mohan has left a good legacy in you girls.I was fascinated when you talked about his commandments. SO TRUE , we shared some of those . May God almighty give you the strength to carry on with his good work. I hope you will make sure that his project is completed. .May God bless you.
