To the Family of Michelle Ignat
Some 40 years ago God planted a beautiful flower and called it Michelle. Every day He would go out to His garden to see how she was growing. At times HE would sprinkle this rare flower with strength for in time she would be a tower for her family and friends. Then HE would sprinkle love, for she would be an example of what unconditional love look and felt like. He would sprinkle humor…humor that would lift her in her lowest moments.
God told Michelle one day I will call your name and you will come unto ME. However, in the meantime you/Michelle have been task to let your light shine, it is through your light that those around you will find joy. For your soul has been kissed and when others see you and know of your trails…they will also know of your testimonies.
Michelle was plucked from her earthly garden, for her work here was done. Her mission had been carried out to perfection. God quietly whisper into Michelle ear and said my child you have fought a good fight; you have run a good race. It is time for you to receive your crown and robe…

My deepest condolences go out to Michelle’s husband, sons, and the rest of her family. I met Michelle in April of last year and was quickly taken by her strong work ethic, her willingness to help others, and her sense of humor. More often than not, she was at work before everyone and would stay later than anyone. Her dedication to her work and her team was strong and unwavering. On more than one occasion I expressed how much of an inspiration Michelle was to me. Each time she would respond how her husband and her boys were her inspiration. Michelle’s team and our entire work group are better because we knew her. In our hearts and minds, Michelle will forever be a member of our department.
My deepest condolences to you all. I'm offering Mass for the repose of Michelle's soul this afternoon and will continue to keep her, Paul, Nickolas, Matthew and all of the Ignat and Smeltzer clan in my prayers. Fr. Jim Bretzke, S.J. (Paul's maternal cousin)
