Michelle Lee Howell's Obituary
Born on November 28th, 1976 to Brent and Deborah Buriff in Hollywood, Florida, Michelle Lee Howell passed away on June 26th, 2024 at the age of 47 after a two-year courageous battle with colon cancer.
Michelle was preceded in death by grandparents George Buriff, Frank Arata Sr., Dolores Arata, Joe Kresse, Uncle and Aunt Frank Jr and Tena Arata, Aunt Linda Lee Arata, and brother Shane Buriff. She is survived by her husband of 21 years Gregory Howell, children Connor, Addison and Ephram Howell, grandmother Ruth Buriff, parents Brent and Deborah Buriff, siblings Jeffrey and Patricia Buriff, nephews and niece, JJ, Autumn, and Christian Buriff, Aunts and Uncles Barbara and Paul Gordon, Beverly and James Devine, Brad and Carolyn Buriff, cousins Nicholas, Danielle and Joseph Devine, Ashley and Frankie Arata, Dylan Gordon and Charissa Abud.
Michelle graduated in 1995 from Hollywood Hills High School in Hollywood, Florida as Senior Class President, a member of SADD and FHA, and voted Most Friendliest of her class. Proud of her profession, Michelle served as the Human Resources Manager for Cornerstone Solutions Group. She also was an active member of Westtown Church in Tampa, Florida.
Committed to her Christian faith, she passed with a peace that surpasses all human understanding. Michelle will be remembered as kind, loving, compassionate, joyful and for her ability to have never met a stranger! She was a wonderful and loving wife, daughter, mother, and sister. Michelle was pure sunshine to her family and friends who she loved dearly. The legacy she leaves is one of faith, hope and love.
A visitation to honor Michelle will be held on Saturday, July 6th at Westtown Church, 13521 Race Track Road, Tampa, FL 33626 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow.
