My Papooli Served in the US Coast Guard, he was a talented bricklayer , then went on to joined the Washington DC fire department where he climbed the ranks and retired as a Chief. His time spent in the Fire Department earned him the Man Iron Mike. During his service with the Us Coast Guard He traveled to the Greek Island Of Rhodes. This is where he Met and Married the Love of His Life Evangilea Murgia (He called her the the Flower of Rhodes). He is proceeded in death by His Wife. He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather. My family and I have grieved time and time again. My Papooli (Grandfather) passed Thursday. He was not himself in the end which was very difficult. He was a strong Man. A Big influence in my Life. He was not just a Grandfather but a Father to me. He had a hand in raising me. He was a big part of my life. I am forever grateful for his unconditional Love and Support. He is now at peace with my Yaya . "Forever Iron Mike and the Flower of Rhodes" ♡♡
