72, died peacefully in his sleep on April 20, 2016.
He was born November 21, 1943 In Johnstown, PA to Marion Lowe. Michael spent his childhood in Batavia, IL and attended Geneva Community High School in Geneva, IL where he met his future spouse, Carol Lowe. After graduating from high school he was employed by Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories and later worked for Economic Laboratories in Oklahoma City, OK, Jacksonville, and Ft. Lauderdale before purchasing Inco Chemical Company and moving to the Tampa Bay Area. Michael was a true entrepreneur, turning Inco Chemical into the world’s largest decorative concrete manufacturer known as Increte Systems. He revolutionized the decorative concrete industry, developing four patents and the broadest product line in the industry. Increte was sold and used in major construction projects in over 80 different countries before Michael sold the company in 2008 to RPM International, a publically traded holding company.
In addition to Increte Systems, Michael also developed a real estate holding company, investing in marinas, restaurants, commercial, industrial and residential properties.
Affectionately known as “Bop Bop”, Michael was a father of four and a grandfather of eight. When not talking business, he enjoyed discussing sports and cars. He was an avid car enthusiast and collector and enjoyed playing golf.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Carol Lowe and mother Marion Lowe.
He is survived by his four sons and their spouses: Michael and Erin Lowe, Scott and Hong Qi Lowe, Timothy and Tracie Lowe, Jeffrey and Jessica Lowe; and eight grandchildren: Georgia Lee Lowe, John Paul Lowe, Ryan Elizabeth Lowe, Reese Caroline Lowe, Lillyann Ziqi Lowe, Gunderson Mackay Lowe, Jason Ming Lowe and Larson Jeffrey Lowe.
A funeral service will be held Monday April 25 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity.
Donations may be made in Michael’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Make-A-Wish Central Florida.
