Michael Hope's Obituary
Michael Hope, 77, of Odessa, FL, passed away on October 6, 2024. Michael was born on October 9, 1946, to H.V. and Edna Hope in Tampa, FL. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold and generosity and had a big smile for everyone he met.
After graduating from Hillsborough High School in 1965, he went to work for the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser’s Office, kickstarting a 47-year career in Property Appraisal.
He married his high school sweetheart, Suzanne Lerch, in 1967. This recent September, they celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Upon retirement in 2012, Michael continued with his love of archery, winning multiple championships, and hunting at the Triple Creek Hunt Club in Mayo, FL.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, H. V. and Edna Hope, and his brother, Jack Arnold Hope. He will be remembered with much love by his wife Suzanne, his two sisters Donna Miller (Alan) and Lernadene Huglin, nieces Sheree Shay and Heather Miller, nephews Jason Miller and Rick Deal, and grandnieces Carissa Shay and Gabby Bouchard.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with a visitation and chapel service from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm and a catered reception to follow. A private family burial will be held that afternoon.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
