Our Sister, Aunt, Godmother, Friend left us on January 14, 2024.
Born to Robert George and Helene Marie (Schroeder) Keenan on December 15, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mary was a secretary for most of her life. Her most memorable job was working for Time Magazine. Volunteering within her local community. Serving on the HOA, driving neighbors to appointments, helping wherever you needed a hand. You could always count on Mary to help in anyway that she could.
She loved Christmas & Birthdays. She always brightened everyone's birthday with a special poem written just for them. She had a wonderful way with her words that made you feel special. She had a wonderful sense of humor lighting up the room with her smile. Through all of her challenges she always found something to smile & laugh about.
A true love story when she met Herbert Norbert Reece. They married May 17, 1975, in Du Page, Illinois. They had 27 years together until Herb passed away in 2002.
Herb and Mary moved to Florida in the 90's leaving behind many relatives, friends and neighbors.
Mary is survived by: sister, Lucy & Bill Stinson, IL.; two brothers, Terry & Nora Keenan, IN., Brian Keenan, IL; Sister - in - law, Bernice Keenan; nieces, nephews, other relatives, & many dear friends.
She was preceded in death, by her parents, Robert & Helene, two brothers, Butch Keenan & Larry Keenan, one sister, Sally Piotrowski.
Per Mary's wishes there will be no service. Inurnment will be with Herbert in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
Mary's favorite charities: Boy's Town & St. Jude Children's Hospital.
