Mary Jean Culbertson's Obituary
Mary Jean Culbertson, of Odessa, FL passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024 with her
family by her side. She was born in Tampa on May 15, 1941 and was a lifelong resident of the
Tampa area.
Mary Jean took great care of her family and was actively involved in the
community. She spent many years volunteering with the Girl Scouts and at CItrus Park Little
League and never missed an activity that her children were involved in. Later in life she ran
several marathons across the country while raising money for the Leukemia Society. She was
an active member of Keystone United Methodist Church and was very strong in her faith and
love for God.
Preceding Mary Jean in death is her beloved husband Fred H. Culbertson, parents
Walter and Jackie Renberg,and brothers Ed and Harry Renberg. She is survived by her
children Bonnie Culbertson, Cricket Crenshaw (Chip), and Trey Culbertson (Sarah);
granddaughters Micayla Crenshaw, Mackenzie Crenshaw, and Isla Culbertson; and sister
Louise King; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Keystone United
Methodist Church followed by a service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
LifePath Hospice or Keystone United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being taken care of
by Trinity Memorial Gardens
