A few years after moving to Ft. Lauderdale, they welcomed Sandy Anne (Thackeray) Salicco, their only child.
Sandy married Robert (Bob) Salicco, in September, 1977, and they gave Martha & George 3 wonderful grandsons – RJ (1978) now married to Shannon, Chris (1981) now married to Melissa, Bryan (1988). She has 2 wonderful great-grandsons – Brayden 3 ½ years & Rylan almost 4 months.
Martha, with George, enjoyed traveling often to Las Vegas – sometime twice a years, and was the one place she truly enjoyed – we are sure she is starting a poker game in Heaven!
Martha has always enjoyed cooking for her family (and anyone else for that matter!) and was best known for her wonderful Thanksgiving Dinners as well as her delicious soups and Italian food. It was not unusual for her to serve 20-25 people during a family and friend dinner!
