Marlene Kay Tago's Obituary
Marlene Kay “Mama Lou” Burger Tago, 47, of New Port Richey, Fl, the most wholesome woman who was known affectionately and loved to be called “Momma Lou” by her family and all the babies she took in as her own, departed our loving family on December 13th, 2022. Marlene was born in Flint, MI to Richard and Bibiana Burger on May 23, 1975. Marlene attended the Clio school district having graduated from Clio High School in 1993. She attended cosmetology school and enjoyed doing hair and nails. In 1995, Marlene moved to Florida and started working for Winn-Dixie where she was an exemplary employee for many years. Then later she started her dedicated career at the United States Post Office. She enjoyed her mail route and loved the people she delivered too, and they knew Marlene for her loving demeanor.
Marlene’s bright and beautiful personality, smile and infectious laugh filled a room as she was always the life of the party. She was the heart and strength of her family and loved everyone dearly and deeply. She loved spending quality time with her family, holidays and get-togethers, listening to music, going to concerts, dancing and watching lifetime movies. “Momma Lou”, had a heart of gold and loved everyone as her own, Marlene loved and cared for anyone you brought around her, she would treat everyone like family, anyone who has been blessed to have been touched by her light, truly knows the angel God has gained and who is now looking down upon us, by our side, protecting, guiding, and loving us.
Marlene was an amazing mother to Troy Tago Jr, Victoria Tago, Palma Tago, Jessica DeSimone, and Ashley Johnson. She raised her children with the most love and devotion humanly possible in New Port Richey with her loving and devoted husband, Troy F. Tago Sr.
Marlene is preceded in death by her father Richard Burger; niece Amanda Bebout; brother-in-law Greg Warren; father and mother-in-law Donald and Jessie Feis and father-in-law Tyrone Tago Sr.
Marlene leaves behind to cherish her memory husband Troy F. Tago Sr; children Troy F. (Michelle Debello) Tago Jr., Victoria Tago, Palma Tago, Jessica Desimone and Ashley Johnson; grandchildren Jordyn, Kai, Scarlett, Melody, Carmine, Emily and Oliver; mother Bibiana Burger; siblings Richard (Mary Jo) Burger, Lisa Warren and daughter Breanna, William (Michele) Burger, Andrew (Erica) Burger, Patrick Burger, Edward (Brooke) Burger and Ralph (Carrie) Burger; and twenty-five nieces and nephews.
