Marie Altenor's Obituary
Marie Polone Altenor was born September 08, 1949, in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. She was a cherished member of our family, a beacon of love and kindness. She had a passion and unwavering dedication to her family. Her nurturing spirit fostered a place of warmth and comfort where everyone felt welcome.
My grandmother also had a passion for cooking; a trait that she strongly shared with her eldest daughter. This shared love for the culinary arts became a cherished family tradition. She also found great joy in telling her grandchildren stories from Haiti, often using these vivid tales to teach life lessons and sometimes keep us out of trouble.
I am grateful for having my grandmother as a second mother. When my mother was bust at work, she took great care of us by getting us ready for school, packing lunches and using her cultural teachings such as using remedy when we caught a cold to heal it.
Her love, legacy, and cultural teachings will ensure from generation to generation. Her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends will forever cherish her precious memories.
