Maria Victoria Urquilla's Obituary
Maria Victoria Urquilla, 88, of Odessa, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2023. She was born on July 21, 1935 in Cojutepeque, El Salvador, where she was a devoted grade school teacher. She immigrated to the United States in the 1960s and lived in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles before settling in Florida. She was a loving mother to her children Claudia Hansen (Gerry) and Ruben Urquilla (Marisabel), and a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren Ruben Edgardo Urquilla (Yadira Rivera), Ileana A Urquilla, Ileana V. Hansen, and Natalie E. Hansen. She was a faithful Catholic who loved gardening, birds, and dogs, especially Trooper or Popi as she called him. She loved to cook for her family and was known for her delicious tamales and stuffed peppers. She will be laid to rest at home in El Salvador, where she will be reunited with her mother, and other relatives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
