Maria L. Collado Mercado “Cuca” entered her eternal resting place on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
Maria was born on March 3, 1948 in Lajas, Puerto Rico to Santiago Collado and Maria Mercado. Maria had ten siblings, being predeceased by three.
Maria lived for 37 years with her confidant and best friend, Milagros Homar.
Maria lived in Lutz, FL surrounded by her family and friends. She was a very outgoing, outspoken, independent, and a happy soul. Maria was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage. Until her last moments she cherished life as described by her favorite artist, Marc Anthony, in the song “Vivir Mi Vida”. She will forever be loved and never forgotten.
