Margarita Vasquez-Felix's Obituary
On Sunday, November 24, 2019, Margarita (Maro) Vasquez-Felix, loving wife and mother of five children, passed away at the age of 72.
Maro was born on July 20th, 1947 in Dominican Republic to Lino and Yolanda Vasquez. In 1990, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, with the intent of pursuing a career in Nursing. She would later go on to halt that career choice and instead stay at home to nurture her family.
On January 28th, 1966 she married Estanislao (Laito) Felix. Together they raised 3 sons, Francisco, Claudio (Tavito), & Lissandro (Kiro), and two daughters, Glenny & Lena.
From the age of 9 she spent majority of her time in the kitchen cooking for her family. Cooking was her safe haven. It was something she could do “With Love”, that gave her purpose and the ability to please her loved ones. A meal prepared by Maro came a long with a series of jokes, a life lesson, some of her advice, or just a great story. She always let her “Sun Shine”, while radiating love towards others.
Maro was preceded in death by her father Lino, her mother, Yolanda, her Brother, Unca, & her sister Ñena. She is survived by her husband Estanislao, her siblings, Jose, Fito, China, & Kimbo, her five children, Francisco, Tavito, Glenny, Lena, & Kiro, her 11 grandchildren, Jasmin, Kristian, Yazel, Nathaley, Devin, Ravin, Justin, Andrew, Arianna, Mya, & Hendrix, & her four great-grandchildren, Jordin, Anthony, Addison, & Josiah, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, & friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29th, 2019 at Trinity Memorial Gardens on Memorial Drive at 10:00am. Flowers may be sent to 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Fl 34655.
