Marcelino (Marcelo) Correa, loving husband to Maria Teresa, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. He was 86 years old.
Born to Juan and Eulogia Correa on April 26, 1937, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Marcelo was one of nine children.
Married in 1960, Marcelo and Maria built a home on a foundation of faith in God, immense love, and happiness. Their love story spanned over seven decades with 64 years of marriage, serving as a testament of love and commitment to those who knew them.
As a father, Marcelo was a pillar of strength, guidance, and unconditional love to his four children, Marcelino Jr. (spouse Alma Victoria), Luis, Evelyn, and Eileen (spouse Nicholas). To his seven grandchildren, Ryan (spouse Ashley), Alessandra (spouse Nick), Michael, Jonathan, Lorena, Jeffrey, and Malena, Marcelo, known as Tuti to them, was not just a grandfather, but a source of wisdom, support, and endless love. As a great grandfather to Night and Lea, Marcelo found pure love and joy in witnessing the continuation of his family's legacy. Marcelo led his family by example, instilling the values of faith, importance of family, hard work, integrity, compassion, and resilience.
Marcelo's steadfast faith in God guided his every step and his devotion to his faith reflected his belief in the teachings of the Bible.
Marcelo’s gentle loving spirit, warm smile, and compassionate heart will be immensely missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him
