I miss you so much. I love you. You were an amazing honorary father and I’m grateful for the time God gave me with you.♥️
I just found out today about Marcel's death. I'm very saddened by this, We have lost touch over the years, but while in graduate school at VCU we became fast friends, even when he moved away and eventually to Florida, we stayed in touch and my family visited his in the early 90's. Always with a quick joke, a good laugh, but Marcel could get into a very pointed and serious discussion about most things (but not for long!). He was very passionate about helping people and he was very proud of being a social worker and the work he did. He so loved his children. I will miss Marcel as I have always wanted to reach out to him, and so wished we could have reconnected. Marcel, may you find peace and you are missed by many.

I was privileged to work with Marcel through my job with Congressman Dennis Ross's office. Marcel was so caring, responsive and diligent in assisting our constituents who had housing problems. His quick and compassionate action saved families from becoming homeless. Marcel, I will miss you, and thank you for all you have done to help people in need. I will pray for Marcel's family and friends for the loss of this wonderful, kind man.

Marcel was my dearest friend and words cannot express the loss. Beverly if you need anything just let me know, or even just to talk, and you will always be in my thoughts and prayers, as Marcel is always in my heart.

“Uncle” Marcel,
Thank you for being a part of my life and for being my Godfather. I have many joyful memories of family vacations spent together, whether a road trip crammed in a Ford Aerostar or hanging out at the beach in South Carolina or Disney and the beach in Florida :) I miss you and hope that peace is now with you.
With love,
Tim
I will miss you dearly Marcel. There was never a dull moment with Marcel. I will never forget the times of laughter and joy while in Tampa. May his soul rest in peace in the Lord. My prayers go out to the family in this time of grief.
Marcel was a very talented, smart and clever colleague who contributed much and was generous to me through work. His loss is a loss to many. Sending my sincere and fond sympathies and wishes for peaceful memories to his family. --- Cheryl Marken, formerly with HUD in Miami
