Manuel "Manny" Oliveira Sr's Obituary
Manuel “Manny” Oliveira Sr passed away peacefully at home on September 30th, 2025, at the age of 81. He was surrounded by family and loved ones at his passing and is finally at peace with the Lord.
Manny was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on November 6, 1943, to parents Manuel and Olga Oliveira. He relocated to New Jersey when he was a young boy. He was a hardworking man owning a business in mason concreting. He has 2 daughters from his first marriage to Peggy. He then married Mary Jo Oliveira in December 1970, and they had 2 sons. In 1984 Manny, Mary Jo, and their 2 sons moved to Florida with their final living home being in Homosassa. They were married for 52 years.
Manny is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Jo and his granddaughter Jessica Oliveira.
He is survived by his very loving fiancée Linda Wrenn, 4 children: Geri Cuesta, Angela Oliveira, Manuel Oliveira Jr (Spouse Arianna Oliveira), and Michael Oliveira (Spouse Sara Gonyea), 6 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime friend who they refer to themselves as brothers, Michael Maugere Sr.
Manny worked very hard on raising horses while in Florida, where his wife won multiple awards in shows. He had a passion for cars, especially muscle cars. He also had a love for fishing and would be on the water as much as he could. Manny loved his Portuguese heritage and enjoyed making his favorite dishes.
The funeral service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stephen Salanitri presiding. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Flowers can be delivered to Trinity Memorial Gardens.
