Luis Torres

I’m so ditto hear of Luis passing. We served together in Iraq and became good friends. We lost touch since he retired and I did as well. He was a great friend and always made me laugh

He could salsa like nobody’s business. Lol

I’m heartbroken to hear of him passing and I don’t know if I should or how to ask this but what happened? How did my good friend pass?

The year we spent in Iraq in 2008-2009 he had a child and he talked about the love for his family every day

God bless him and you. His family ALWAYS came first I promise you.

Although we met and spoke once in the kitchen of the Delano's house next door from you, ( I am Kathy Delano's sister Eileen) I can never forget our fun conversation about growing up and going to school in the 1970's and 1980' s in NYC !! You from the Bronx and me from Queens. We laughed and told stories about our neighborhoods, our schools and of course, stories from our experiences on the NYC subways!!! You told me about your times as a Marine and I thanked you for your service. You will be missed and never forgotten. RIP.

Luis was like a brother to me. I am so sad beyond measure on his passing and will never forget my final visit with him last year. To his mother and dearest wife Pasifika your love and caring for him will never be forgotten. His children were his life and you guys will make him proud that is a given. A Marine combat veteran who sacrificed his life for this country's freedom. I salute you as a former veteran too! Go Giants and Yankees! Please save us a bingo seat when we arrive at your new golden and glorious home.
I will forever miss you until we meet again.

Kathy, Donnie and I are saddened by the loss of our friend and neighbor, Luis. He was a good family man with a great sense of humor and I will miss jousting with him whenever our paths crossed. Luis worked hard to make sure his family was safe and comfortable through thick and thin. He was proud to be a United States Marine and honored them by fighting the good fight every day. Even though Luis has left us, his spirit lives on in our hearts and he will never truly die. May he rest in peace with The Lord and may his family be comforted by knowing how proud of them he was.
