Lucille Rose's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucille Rose, a fearless and pioneering soul whose life was marked by resilience, ambition, and a deep love for her family. Born in St. Lucia, Lucille's journey began with the bold decision to travel by steamship to London as a teenager—a voyage that took several arduous weeks across the ocean. That spirit of adventure would continue to define her life.
Lucille was well-traveled, having lived in several places that shaped her into the strong woman she became. From the Caribbean to London and Tampa, she carved a path that many admired. In her professional life, she was a successful businesswoman—owning and operating several ventures, including TLC, a beloved nursing home she opened and ran for many decades. Lucille was also the proud owner of Ocean Hideaway, a renowned restaurant and lounge in her homeland of St. Lucia, where she offered both delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere to all who visited.
Known for her generosity, Lucille was always quick to lend a hand to those in need, offering support, kindness, and love wherever she could. She had a keen sense of humor, often bringing laughter to those around her, and a sharp tongue that could cut through any situation with honesty and wit. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, but always with a heart full of intention.
She was not only a successful businesswoman but also a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lucille is survived by her eight children: Dorian, Rose, Linda, Michael, Sandra, Patricia, Arthur, and Richard. She leaves behind 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her legacy of hard work, compassion, generosity, and humor.
Lucille's impact was felt far and wide—through her businesses, her family, and the many lives she touched. Her indomitable spirit and commitment to her loved ones will never be forgotten. She is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have passed before her.
