Lucille Mangicaro's Obituary
Lucille Cesta Mangicaro passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 8th, 2026, in New Port Richey, Florida.
Lucille (Lucy, LuLu, Lu) was born in 1934 on Ash Street on the North Side of Syracuse, New York, to Gennaro and Angeline Cesta. She grew up during the time of the Great depression and World War II. She was raised with her 4 sisters: Rosalie, Tessie, Angela and Lorry. She attended North High School.
She would later meet the love of her life, Rosario Mangicaro, and marry him on July 2, 1955, in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. She and Ross spent the years following raising 5 kids. She was always the strength and backbone of her family as she lovingly raised her kids and supported her husband.
It was in 1973, when her husband Ross took over General Motor’s Federal Credit Union as General Manager, that she became his Assistant Manager in Syracuse, New York. Together they proudly served the General Motor’s community for 25 years.
Lucy is survived by her 5 children: Cindy (Chris), Ross (Jane), Donna, David (Maria) and LuAnne (George) and 8 grandchildren: Tony, Jessica, Kendell, Daniel, Alex, Noah, Lexi and Blake and 2 great grandchildren: Mia and Savannah.
Lucy will be laid to rest at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Trinity, Florida on June 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM.
