Louis Ferruzzi's Obituary
Louis J Ferruzzi passed away peacefully on Thursday August 22 2024 surrounded by loved ones and friends after a battle with brain cancer.
Lou was born in the Bronx, New York City to Louis (Luigi) Ferruzzi and Pamela (Palma) Ferruzzi (née Bruno). He attended high school in Brewster, NY and graduated from Dutchess Community college before serving in the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was married to Linda Lee Ferruzzi (née Butler) in 1968 until her death in 2019.
Lou worked for IBM in the Hudson Valley Region of NY for 30 years before moving to Trinity Florida in 1993. While in Florida, he ran his own small business, a pack and ship location for 5 years before ending his working career at Delta after 10 years with the airline.
Lou had many hobbies and interests, including fishing, dominos, puzzles and golfing. He loved to travel, visiting all 50 states as well as several countries in Europe and Central America. Lou was an avid sports fan, visiting all 30 MLB Baseball parks. He enjoyed going out to eat with friends and watching the sunset at Florida beaches.
Lou will be missed by his son Matthew (Alice), his partner of 5 years Joan Law, sister Patricia Casey(Robert), sister Christine Schafer-Sweet(James), as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, Florida 34655 on August 31st starting at 11:30AM
